Mine brass orchestra in Gimnazjum nr 14, Ruda Śląska

On of traditons in our school is inviting our Mine Brass Orchestra. The programme of their concert consist of classical pieces and modern ones. We really enjoy these musical journeys all over the world. This year we could hear for example a Czech polka, paso doble, Radetzky March and Mambo No. 5:-)

Every year we organize an Open Day in our school. This year the main attractions were prepared for the Family Pinic. There were delicious cakes and a barbecue! We also had a chance to watch performances and show presented by our guests! Have a look!

10th anniversary celebrations in Gimnazjum nr 14

There are two eTwinning groups in our school. We met together to celebrate the 10th anniversary of eTwinning. We enjoyed the birthday cake made by our friend Agata and we had a videoconference with our Czech friend Nada. One group also prepared some other surprises, like sirtaki dance or eTwinning pantomime. Other students could also celebrate this holiday taking part in a vocabulary game! The enjoyed it very much! Here are some photos!

Day of the school patron Jan Karski in Gimnazjum nr 14

In April we always celebrate the day of the patron of our school - Jan Karski. Every year we have different events - we have had this patron for 6 years. This year we organized a chess tournement as professor Karski liked to play chess. And we organized a competition to prepare a boardgame abour Karski's life. In the afternoon students came to school and they played the games the har prepared. The atmosphere was great and we'll definitely continue this tradition!
